Palheiro Village Villa / West Indies Style

 While the Palheiro is a pastiche of west indies style from the early 2000's, it is of extremely high-quality construction and finishes. It has "breathing room" with gardens, wild land, a golf course, spa, clubhouse, tea house, a pool, and hotel. These provide a level of privacy and distance from the congestion of the other neighborhoods this close to Funchal. Steep roads and barking dogs make many of the neighborhoods undesirable.
